No Faith, No Conversion: The evolution of Keynes's ideas on uncertainty under the influence of Johannes von Kries In Jochen Runde and Sohei Mizuhara (eds.) Perspectives on the Philosophy of Keynes's Economics: Probability, uncertainty and convention, pp. 130-139. London, Routledge 2003.
Abstract
The influence of Johannes von Kries on the development of Keynes's ideas on uncertainty may shed light on the extent to which Keynes changed his mind from A Treatise on Probability and The general Theory of Employment, Interest and Money. It is argued that Keynes followed a coherent thread throughout his life, but also that his coherence with respect to von Kries varied considerably.
